Loose Tube Fibre Cable features
Multi-purpose Loose Tube Fibre Cable that provides a cost effective solution to all internal or external fibre cabling requirements, especially recommended where on-site fusion splicing of pigtails is the preferred termination technique.
The cable consists of a single central uni-tube containing individually colour coded buffered fibres.
This tube is finished with a single Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outer jacket, flame retardant, UV stabilised and extremely resistant to the ingress of moisture.
CORES: 4, 8, 12, 24
TYPE OF FIBRE: 62.5/125 OM1, 50/125 OM2, 9/125 OS2, 50/125 OM3
Their very small diameter, lightweight and excellent environmental performance makes these cables ideal for installation in a broad range of network applications including LAN backbones, networks with mixed indoor and outdoor cabling, outdoor in flooded ducts and any premises distribution system.
- Fire retardant LSZH jacket
- Up to 24 fibres
- Choice of fibre type and specification
- Small diameter
- Water and UV resistant
- Loose Tube Fibre Cable Internal or external use
- Small bending radius
- Low cost
Loose tube cables are designed for harsh environment conditions in the outdoors.
They protect the Fiber core, cladding, and Coating by enclosing everything within fairly rigid protective sleeves or tubes.
Loose tube is a commonly used fibre optic cable that is well-suited for aerial lashed and direct bury installations.
The abrasion-resistant sheath material and robust construction make it ideal for conduit pulls between buildings.
For those applications requiring a more robust design whereby the cable can withstand harsh chemical exposure or extreme temperatures, AFL’s loose tube cable family has an option to meet your special environmental requirements.
When your project needs an internal loose tube fibre cable or an external loose tube fibre cable, we can provide a solution.
